BUTTER vs MARGARINE?

The controversy is whether it is preferable to use butter or margarine, based on the amount of saturated fats, trans fatty acids and cholesterol contained in each. Butter contains very small amounts of trans fats, but has high levels of cholesterol and saturated fats, 15gr. butter contain 33gr. cholesterol and more from 7gr. saturated fats. Healthy people should keep their intake of saturated fats in 22 27 Gr. on the day. Margarine contains no cholesterol and is low in saturated fats. However, some margarine are high levels of trans fatty acids that can cause health risks. To this end the labels of foodstuffs do not report the trans fatty acids in the nutrition information. If your diet does not generally consume large amounts of fat or saturated fat, you may want to use butter, but as with all kinds of fats, joining them in a healthy diet should be limited.
